Weather Report: IMD issued thunderstorm, rain alert for next 3 days

Weather Report: After days of scorching summer, the country is now getting respite from heat wave conditions as it witnesses isolated rainfall over several places. IMD issued Thunderstorm and Rain alert for next 3 days.

The downpour will continue for as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall over several states in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall along with thunderstorms over Northwest India till May 31.

With peak activity on May 29 and May 30 due to a fresh approaching western disturbance tonight. It stated that a cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Rajasthan and a trough runs from this system to Northeast Madhya Pradesh in lower tropospheric levels.

Several states including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and others will receive possible rainfall till May 31, according to the weather office.

Light/moderate fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds very likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep and scattered rainfall over South Interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh during next 5 days.

Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu on 27th, 31st May & 01st June, Kerala on 28th, 29th, 31st May & 01st June and over South Interior Karnataka during 31st May & 01st June.

Light/moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning & occasional gusty winds/squall very likely over Northwest India during 28th-31st May with peak activity on 29th & 30th May and reduction thereafter.

Hailstorm very likely at isolated places over northwest Rajasthan during 28th-30th May; Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh on 29th & 30th and Uttarakhand on 29th May.

Thundersquall/Gusty Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph likely at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh on 28th & 29th; Rajasthan during 28th-30th May and Haryana, Delhi & Uttarakhand on 29th May.

Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over north Rajasthan on 28th & 29th May. Light/moderate isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds very likely over Madhya Pradesh during next 3 days and reduction thereafter.

Thundersquall/Gusty Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh on 28th & 29th and Chhattisgarh on 28th May. Hailstorm very likely at isolated places over north Madhya Pradesh on 28th May.
