Tatkaal passport: Do you know how to get an Urgent Passport

Passport is an important document for any citizen to travel abroad. In some cases, the applicant may be in urgent need of a passport, in such cases, there is an option to apply for an ‘Tatkaal passport’. By applying for Tatkal Passport, you can complete the process of doing it quickly. However, its enrollment and application process is similar to that of a normal passport.

By applying for Tatkal Passport, you can complete the process of doing it quickly. However, its enrollment and application process is similar to that of a normal passport.

Tatkaal passport application can also be applied online through Passport Seva Portal. Applicants will have to attend a personal interview for document verification. Once the documents are verified and the passport is ‘approved’, the applicant can expect the passport to be sent within a day.

Step To Apply Tatkaal passport:

1. Log in to the passport portal and click on the ‘Apply for New Passport’ link.

2. Make sure to select Immediate mode.

3. Fill all the correct information in the application form online.

4. Once the upload is complete, click on the “Pay and Schedule Appointment” link to schedule an appointment at the Passport Service Center (PSK).

5. Select the correct Passport Service Center (PSK) location and select your PSK.

6. After booking your preferred appointment date and time at the selected PSK, you will be taken to the online payment page.

7. After the payment is completed, you need to take a print out of the application receipt containing the Application Reference Number (ARN) or Appointment Number.

Now you have to visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) on the date and time of your appointment booking. You have to take a print out of the filled application form along with the original documents.
