Ration Card: E-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries by March 31
Ration Card: In a major update, it is mandatory for all ration card beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC by March 31. Initially, the deadline for this process was scheduled for December 31. However, it is now extended to ensure that the e-KYC 100% is completed for all card holders.
Why is e-KYC important?
The e-KYC is an essential process for the identification of card holders, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the distribution of government benefits. It intends to reduce fraud, ensure the proposed delivery and maintain a non -stop ration distribution system for beneficiaries.
Actions for beneficiaries:
All ration card holders are recommended to complete their e-KYC process without delay. It is crucial that every beneficiary initiates and completes the e-KYC to avoid obstacles in receiving ration benefits.
Failure to complete the e-KYC process by March 31 can be suspended for ration card benefits. The District Administration has emphasized the importance of completing the process to prevent any service barriers.
How to complete the e-KYC:
Beneficiaries can visit designated e-KYC centres or use an online portal to complete their verification. This is a simple and necessary step to ensure continuous access to government services.
Visit the official Ration card or public distribution system(PDS) portal your state wise accordingly.
Login using your registered coresidential or create an account by providing basic details such as your Mobile Number of Email ID.
Navigate to e-KYC Section typically found under “the Ration Card Services” or “Update Details” section on the homepage.
Input the Aadhar Number linked to the head of the family or ration card holder and ensure the Mobile Number linked to Aadhar is Active.
A one time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the portal to verify your Aadhar.
After Successful verification, your e-KYC will be Updated. You can save or take screenshot of the acknowledge for future reference.
