Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Scheme: pregnant women get Rs 11,000 incentives

Prime Minister Modi government has introduced many schemes for the benefit of the people. Public is getting more benefits from these schemes. One such government scheme is Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. In this scheme pregnant women will get up to Rs 11,000 incentives.

Here is important information about its benefits, features, eligibility, required documents, how to apply etc. Prime Minister of the country has launched a very important scheme for women living in the country. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the government to pregnant women and maternity women.

The benefits of this scheme will be given to government employees. This project was launched in 2017. The benefit of this scheme will be given to all the women living in the country. In this scheme women are given some money by the government at various times from pregnancy to the birth of the child. You too can benefit from this scheme.

1. Cash incentive of Rs 5000 are provided in three instalments –

First instalment – Rs 1000/- on early registration of pregnancy at the Anganwadi Centre (AWC) / approved Health facility as may be identified by the respective administering State / UT.

Second instalment – Rs 2000/- after six months of pregnancy on receiving at least one antenatal check-up (ANC).

Third instalment – Rs 2000/- after childbirth is registered and the child has received the first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis – B, or its equivalent/ substitute.

2. The eligible beneficiaries would receive the incentive given under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) for Institutional delivery and the incentive received under JSY would be accounted towards maternity benefits so that on an average a woman gets Rs 6000/-.

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Scheme Documents required:

First Instalment

1. MCP(Mother and Child Protection) Card

2. Aadhar Card

3. One of the prescribed eligibility certificate

4. LMP(Last Menstrual Period) Date and ANC Date

5. Bank account

6. Health certificate issued by PHC or Government Hospital

Second Instalment:

1. Child Birth certificate.

2. Aadhar Card

3. Child has completed first cycle of immunization (14 weeks)

Second Child (If girl child)

One Instalment:

1. Aadhar Card

2. MCP (Mother and Child Protection) Card, ANC and LMP date

3. Child Birth Registration Certificate

4. One of the prescribed eligibility certificates

5. Child has completed first cycle of immunization (14 weeks)

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana eligibility:

The benefit of this scheme will be given only to women residing in the country.

The benefit of this scheme is provided to pregnant women and barangays.

Minimum age of applicant should be 19 years.

Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi assistants and Asha will also be able to avail benefits under the scheme.
