Diwali Festival 2022: Indian Railway announced special Train

In this on-going festive season, for the convenience of rail travellers and to clear extra rush of passengers, Indian Railways is running 2561 trips of 211 special trains (in pairs) till Chhath Puja this year. Diwali Festival 2022: Indian Railway announced special Train.

Special Trains have been planned to connect major destinations across the country on railway routes, like Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Firozpur, Patna, Katihar and Amritsar etc. Indian Railways has notified additional 32 special services to ensure smooth and comfortable travel for the passengers during this festive season, while 179 special services were notified earlier.

The railways has also announced crowd controlling measures such as forming queues at terminus stations under the supervision of RPF staff to ensure the orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches. More RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations to ensure passenger safety. Officers are stationed at major stations on Emergency Duty to ensure that trains run smoothly.

Staff are stationed in various sections to respond to any disruption in train service as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Indian Railways reaches a new milestone today with the delivery of the nation’s first aluminium goods train rake. This aluminium goods train is unique from all others since it has a greater capacity for hauling freight while being lighter than its predecessors.

In Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, it was launched by the state’s railway minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw. The rake is 180 tonnes lighter than current steel rakes, allowing it to travel the same distance at a higher speed and with less power. The lifetime carbon savings range from 8 to 10 tonnes, but the Indian Railways will save more than 14,500 tonnes of carbon with the start of this train.
