Bank of India has already made Mahila Samman Savings Scheme available to its customers. Now Canara Bank has also started this scheme. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a major announcement regarding this scheme in Budget 2023. Canara Bank has revealed information about this scheme on its Twitter platform.

You can join this scheme by visiting your nearest Canara Bank branch. You can also get complete details of the scheme,” Canara Bank tweeted.

Mahila Samman Savings Scheme is open to women only. Money Savings can be invested in this scheme in the name of minor children through guardians. In this scheme at least Rs. 1000 can be invested. A maximum of Rs 2 lakh can be saved. You can join this plan as many times as you want. But a gap of three months should be followed.

Currently, the interest rate of this scheme is 7.5 percent. Interest is credited to the account every three months. The duration of this project is two years. You can join this scheme by visiting your nearest Canara bank.

Otherwise this scheme is also available in post office. Those who want risk free returns can join this scheme. This plan is available for two years only. So those who are thinking of joining it is better to join now.
