The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed that locals have spotted a helicopter crashing near Patnitop area of Udhampur.
“An Army Aviation Helicopter has force-landed near Patnitop. The two pilots are injured and are being evacuated. Further details are being ascertained,” the Indian Army said in an official statement.
Both pilots Major Rohit Kumar and Major Anuj Rajput have succumbed to their injuries, as per latest report. GOC-in-C, Northern Command, Lt Gen YK Joshi and all ranks salute the bravehearts Major Rohit Kumar and Major Anuj Rajput who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on Sept 21 at Patnitop änd offer deepest condolences to their families,” said Northern Command, Indian Army.
