Akshaya Tritiya, also called as spring festival will be celebrated across India on Saturday. It is one of the biggest gold and jewellery buying festivals in the country. Since the last Akti, gold prices have given double-digit returns to investors. The bullion has stayed above Rs 60,000 mark for the past week ahead of the festival before correcting on Friday.

Experts believe on this occasion investors can buy gold on dips as the yellow metal is seen to hit the Rs 65,000 mark in the medium to long term. On Friday, MCX gold futures maturing on June 5 ended at Rs 59,766 per 10 grams down by Rs 737 or 1.22%. This bullion did touch an intraday high of Rs 60,476 per 10 grams earlier in the day.

Similarly, gold futures maturing May 5, 2023, closed at Rs 59,736 per 10 grams lower by Rs 653 or 1.08% after touching the day’s high of Rs 60,373 per 10 grams. The shubh muhurat to buy gold starts from 7.49 am on April 22, 2023 (Saturday) to 7:47 am on April 23 (Sunday).

Gold prices remained unchanged across the country on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The price of one gram of 22K gold stood at Rs 5,605 on the festive occasion. On the other hand, the price of one gram of 24K gold was Rs 6,115.
