Aadhaar Card Update last date on March 14: Now can update from home

The Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar for free. Now Aadhaar renewal can be done through My Aadhaar portal till 14th March 2024 without any charges.

Aadhaar Card Update: If you need to change your address or mobile number in Aadhaar card, or you want to correct name, you can update Aadhaar from your own mobile sitting at home. There is no charge for this. If you not update Aadhaar card, So do this by March 14.

A free facility to update Aadhaar details was available on the My Aadhaar portal. If the user renews the base offline instead of online, he will have to pay a fee of Rs.25. Now even after extending the date, the same system will remain intact. That is, the facility of free Aadhaar update is available online only.

What are the documents required to update Aadhaar:

1) Ration cards, voter identity cards,

2) Government issued identity cards / address proofs and Indian passports serve as proof of both identity and address.

3) PAN Card, Driving Licence, Secondary or Senior Secondary School Mark Sheet / School Leaving Certificate with Photograph, Government Issued Identity Card / Certificate – serve as proof of identity only.

4) Electricity / Water / Gas Bill (last 3 months), Bank / Post Office Passbook, Rent / Lease / Leave and License Agreement will serve as proof of address only.
