Violation of Election code of Conduct: Without documents cash Rs.2.10 crore was seized in Bagalkot

Bagalkote: 2.10 crore cash was seized near Bagalkote’s Hunnur check post without documents. 2.10 crore cash was seized by the police near Hunnoor check post in Jamkhandi taluk of Bagalkote district. It is said that the money was being transported from Mudhola towards Athani in a Bolero vehicle and was being transported to another branch of the Co-operative Bank. Due to lack of proper documents, the police seized the money and took the two persons into custody. Insulin worth 1.50 crore seized near Kalakeri check post in Gadag Naragunda

Gadag: In the wake of the implementation of the Karnataka Assembly Election Code of Conduct, the Election Commission conducted a massive operation and illegally transported insulin. The vehicle was traveling illegally from Goa to Aurangabad in Maharashtra, the election officials and the police conducted an operation and recovered Rs 1.50 crore from the vehicle. Value of insulin was confiscated. On the other hand, clothes worth 3.72 lakhs were seized at the Dundura check post in Gadag. It was seized while it was being transported from Hubli to Yalaburga without any documents.
