Shah Rukh Khan Joins BJP Drugs Will Become Sugar Powder: Chhagan Bhujbal

Maharashtra Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Saturday mocked the BJP over the cruise ship drugs bust case, in which film superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan is one of the arrested accused, and said “drugs would become sugar powder” if the actor joined the BJP.

A massive consignment of drugs was seized in Mundra Port in Gujarat, but instead of probing this case, the Narcotics Control Bureau, a Central agency, was hounding Shah Rukh Khan, he alleged.

“Drugs will become sugar powder if Shah Rukh Khan joins the BJP,” the senior NCP leader quipped. Mr Bhujbal, who was speaking at a Samta Parishad-NCP function, also said the Maharashtra government had got an ordinance passed on OBC quota but a BJP functionary had challenged it in court.

He demanded to know if the BJP was against giving reservations to Other Backward Classes. Aryan Khan, 23, who has been in jail for 14 days, was denied bail by a special court in Mumbai. SRK visit and spent around 20 minutes at the jail and did not say anything to the media.

SRK and Gauri Khan had spoken with their son on a video call last Friday. A special court denied Aryan Khan bail saying his WhatsApp chats appeared to reveal his involvement in “illicit drug activities”.

WhatsApp chats prima facie reveals accused Aryan Khan is dealing in illicit drug activities for narcotic substances on regular basis. Therefore, it cannot be said that Khan is not likely to commit similar offence while on bail,” said the order.
