PM Vishwakarma Yojana: The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a significant Central Sector Scheme launched by the Indian government to provide holistic support to traditional artisans and craftspeople across 18 identified trades. PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Know Eligibility, Benefits and how to apply.
The goal is to integrate them into the formal economy, preserve traditional skills, and enhance their livelihoods.

How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana:
You cannot apply for the PM Vishwakarma Yojana directly online on your own. The registration process is facilitated through Common Service Centres (CSCs).
Here’s the general application process:
1. Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC): This is the primary point of contact for registration.
2. Mobile and Aadhaar Verification: At the CSC, you will complete your mobile number verification and Aadhaar E-KYC (Know Your Customer) using biometric authentication on the PM Vishwakarma portal.
3. Artisan Registration Form: Fill out the artisan registration form with all the required details.
4. Verification Process: Your application will undergo a three-stage verification process:
Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body (ULB) Level: Initial verification to confirm eligibility and authenticity.
District Implementation Committee: Further assessment and recommendation.
Screening Committee: Final approval.
5. PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card: Upon successful verification and approval, you will receive a PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate. These will be provided digitally and also in physical form.
6. Apply for Scheme Benefits: Once registered and recognized as a ‘Vishwakarma’, you can then apply for the various benefits offered under the scheme through the portal at the CSC.

Eligibility Criteria:
You must be an artisan or craftsperson working with your hands and tools in one of the 18 specified traditional trades.
You must be engaged in the unorganized sector on a self-employment basis.
Minimum age: 18 years on the date of registration.
You should be actively engaged in the concerned trade at the time of registration.
Only one member from a family (husband, wife, and their unmarried children) can avail benefits under the scheme.
You should not have availed loans under similar credit-based schemes of the Central or State Government for self-employment/business development (e.g., PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, Mudra) in the past 5 years. (However, beneficiaries of MUDRA and SVANidhi who have repaid their loans in full are eligible).
Persons in government service and their family members are NOT eligible.

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana:
1. Recognition: Issuance of a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, formally recognizing them as Vishwakarmas.
2. Skill Upgradation:
Basic Training: 5-7 days (40 hours) of basic skill training with a daily stipend of ₹500.
Advanced Training: Opportunity to enroll for advanced training of 15 days (120 hours) or more.
3. Toolkit Incentive: An e-voucher of up to ₹15,000 to purchase modern and improved tools at the beginning of the basic skill training.
4.Credit Support (Collateral-Free Loans):
First Tranche: Collateral-free loan of up to ₹1 Lakh with an 18-month repayment tenure.
Second Tranche: After successful repayment of the first tranche and adoption of digital transactions/completion of advanced training, a second collateral-free loan of up to ₹2 Lakhs with a 30-month repayment tenure.
Interest Rate: Loans are provided at a concessional interest rate of 5%, with an 8% interest subvention by the Government of India.
5.Incentive for Digital Transactions: An incentive of ₹1 per digital transaction (up to a maximum of 100 transactions per month) will be credited to the beneficiary’s account for each digital payout or receipt in their business.
6.Marketing Support: Assistance with:
Quality certification
Branding and promotion
Onboarding on e-commerce platforms (like GeM)
Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions.
