In the meeting of farmers activists held in the premises of Pravasi Mandir in Maddur town under the chairmanship of the State President of the State Farmers’ Association, Badagalpura Nagendra, a discussion was held on the outlines of protesting against PM Narendra Modi by  displaying black flags. The farmer leaders did not leave any secret about the location of the black flag demonstration against the Prime Minister and said that they would announce it on the same day.

A decision was taken to display a black flag during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s road show from Mandya to Gejjala Gere and also near the platform to inaugurate the Dashpath Highway near Gejjala Gere colony.

If there is a possibility that the police will interfere with the black flag demonstration, it was decided that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at the platform event from the helipad with the black flag display and fly black balloons at selected places while conducting the road show to warn Narendra Modi for not responding to the farmers’ problems.

Addressing a meeting of farmer activists, Badagalpura Nagendra said that the double engine government of the BJP, which did not set scientific prices for sugarcane and milk, was ruling by neglecting the farmers’ problems. Farmers in Mandya had been on a continuous day-night protest for 120 days and accused them of showing irresponsibility by not responding to the problems.

The farmers union has already decided to hold a protest when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah visit the state in the coming days. The farmer leaders made it clear that a black flag demonstration will be held against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will arrive for the inauguration of Dashpath Highway at Gejjala Gere in Maddur taluk on 12th.

State President Badagalpur Nagendra said that by going to Bengaluru and urging the Chief Minister to allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the issue of farmers, they will submit a petition demanding implementation of the Swaminathan report, scientific price fixing for sugarcane and milk, repeal of the electricity bill and withdrawal of the three central agriculture acts.

If the Chief Minister does not respond positively to the demands of the farmers, the farmers’ activists are ready to show black flag against the Prime Minister and if the police are ready to suppress the protest, the farmers’ union district president Kempugowda warned.

Farmer leaders like Maduchandan, Channapatnam Mallaya, GK Ramakrishna, Prasanna N. Gowda, Sadolalu Puttaswamayya, GA Shankar, Shettyhalli Ravi, Vinod Babu, Lingappaji, Gollaradoddy Ashok and others were present in the meeting.
