Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has given a shock to the commuters by increasing the monthly and daily bus pass fares. New Year bad news for commuters: BMTC bus pass fare hike.
Keeping in view the financial interest of the organization, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation has issued an order that the rates of daily and monthly passes of Vajra air-conditioned services distributed by the organization have been revised with effect from 01.01.2023.
Vajra monthly pass rate has been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,800. The Vajra daily pass has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 120, while the fare of regular monthly pass holders traveling in Vajra vehicles has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 25.

Further, BMTC has issued a notification that the facility provided to General Monthly Pass holders and Senior Citizen General Monthly Pass holders to travel free on Vajra services with valid pass on Sundays has been withdrawn.
