He said that wearing of masks has been made mandatory in cinemas, malls, hotels and other indoor activity places. Officials have been strictly instructed to follow up travellers returning from abroad. Helpline numbers 9663950222 and 9663957222 have been activated in the district for covid related issues.

Covishield vaccines are not available in the district. He said that those who need covishield vaccine can visit Father Muller Hospital in Mangaluru and get the vaccine.
