Today (April 20) is the last day to file nomination papers for the Karnataka Assembly Elections (Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023), and at this last moment, the Congress has changed the front door candidate of Kolar district. Adinarayan has been given ticket instead of Dr. BC Muddu Gangadhar. Last night, the candidate was announced in the 5th list of the front door constituencies, which had remained extremely tight. In this list, Dr. BC Muddu Gangadhar was declared as the candidate for Mulabagilu Assembly Constituency. On the other hand, in the background of local opposition, the Congress has now changed the front door candidate and nominated Adinarayan instead of Muddu Gangadhar.

Kolar Congress candidate Kothur Manjunath had requested to give tickets to his supporters for Mulabagilu constituency. Adinarayan had requested to give him a ticket. However, the High Command had given a gift to Dr. BC Muddu Gangadhar. Local leaders including Kothur Manjunath were very upset by this. Alarmed by this, the Congress immediately replaced Muddu Gangadhar and announced Adinarayan as the final candidate.

Yesterday, the Congress had changed its candidate from Shiggaon assembly constituency in Haveri district, where Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is contesting. Earlier, Mohammed Yusuf Savanur had been announced as the ticket for Shiggaon constituency. Yesterday the ticket was announced for Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan. Now it has replaced the candidate of Mulbagila constituency of Kolar district.
