Karnataka Assembly Election: May 10 election and May 13 Result

Karnataka Assembly Election: The Chief Commissioner of the Central Election Commission Rajeev Kumar has announced the date for the Karnataka assembly elections today. Elections are held in single phase. Voting will be held on May 10, counting of votes will be held on May 13 and the results will be announced on that day, he said.

Speaking at a press conference today, he said that the term of the Karnataka Assembly Election will end on May 24, 2023. By that all the process of election will be concluded. He said that out of 224 assembly constituencies, 36 are SC reserved constituencies and 15 are ST reserved constituencies.

Karnataka Assembly Election Single phase election, voting on May 10, result on May 13. Polling will be held in a single phase for 224 constituencies in the state. Voting will be held on May 10, counting of votes will be held on May 13 and the results will be announced, he said.

Karnataka Assembly Election Notification will be issued on 13-04-2023. Date 20-04-2023 is the last date for submission of nomination papers. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on 21-04-2023. Last date for withdrawal of nomination paper is 24-04-2023. Voting will be held on 10-05-2023. He said that the polling will be held on 13-05-2023 and the result will be announced.

First time option of voting from home for persons with disability and senior citizens in Karnataka. 73,200 PwD and senior citizens voted from home in five previous state polls. The total number of 80+ year-old electors stand at 12.15 lakh, Total electors in Karnataka are 5.2 crore, says CEC Rajiv Kumar. Out of the over 5.21 crore electors in Karnataka, 5.55 lakh are PwD electors.
