Karnataka Election Breaking: Above 80 years and disabled people can vote from home

New Delhi: Today, the Chief Commissioner of the Central Election Commission, Rajiv Kumar, said that for the first time, voters above the age of 80 and disabled voters have been allowed to vote from home. Karnataka Election Breaking: Above 80 years and disabled people can vote from home.

Speaking at a press conference today, he said that the term of the Assembly will end on May 24, 2023. By that all the process of election will be concluded. He said that out of 224 assembly constituencies, 36 are SC reserved constituencies and 15 are ST reserved constituencies.

5.2 crore voters are in Karnataka. Among them there are 2.62 crore male voters and 2.5 crore female voters. There are 12.15 lakh voters above 80 years. They are also being given a chance. There are 2.55 lakh disabled voters. He said that this is the first time that people above 80 years and disabled people have been allowed to vote from home.

58,282 polling booths have been set up for this election. 20,866 polling booths are being set up in urban areas. An average of 883 voters are allowed to vote in a polling station. He said that 1,320 voting booths are being set up for women.
