India reported 11,109 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.01 per cent. India reported 11,109 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, the highest in over seven months, according to the Union Health Ministry. The active caseload in the country stood at 49,622. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.01 per cent while the weekly positivity rate is at 4.29 per cent. A total of 4,42,16,583 people have recovered. Meanwhile, 29 deaths were registered, taking the death toll to 5,31,064.

A total of 476 doses of vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours. A total of 220,66,25,120 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

Covid cases in Mumbai

Mumbai on Thursday reported 274 Covid-19 cases, which took the tally to 11,59,819, while the death toll stood unchanged at 19,752, a civic official said. The addition to the tally was a drop from the 320 cases reported on Wednesday, the first time the 300-mark was breached since September last year.

Delhi Logs 1527 covid cases

Delhi recorded 1,527 Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 27.77 per cent on Thursday, according to data shared by the city government’s health department.
