Govt New Scheme: Parents of single girl child will get Rs 2 lakh

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhkhu said on Thursday that an incentive of Rs 2 lakh will be given to parents of a single girl child with the aim of eliminating female foeticide.

The announcement informed that the incentive money given under Indira Gandhi Balika Yojana has been increased from Rs 35 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Talking to reporters at a program, Sukhkhu said, ‘Parents who adopt family planning after the birth of a girl child will be given Rs 2 lakh and parents who decide not to have another child after having two girls will be given Rs 1 lakh as an incentive.

Chief Minister along with Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil presented awards to several districts including Chamba, Shimla and Mandi districts for maintaining good gender ratio.

Parents with only one daughter will now get Rs 2 lakh. And Rs 1 lakh for those who decide not to have another child after two daughters. (increased from the existing 25,000) will be given, the CM said. The chief minister said that the gender ratio has improved in the state and the government has succeeded in stopping female foeticide.

Anna Bhagya Scheme: These People Will Not Get Money, New Update From Government

Under the Anna Bhagya Scheme, the Karnataka government, which has already transferred money in lieu of rice, will now release the third month money. Although they have received money in the last two months, some people will not receive money on this month. The reason is that many people’s ration cards have been cancelled.

As everyone knows, In Gruha Lakshmi scheme women can get Rs 2000 for APL and BPL Card but it is mandatory to have BPL Ration Card to get Anna Bhagya Scheme or to get money instead of rice in Anna Bhagya scheme. The government has earmarked about Rs 605 crore to deposit the money in the beneficiary’s account in lieu of 5 kg of rice every month. The third installment is not deposited anymore.
