The Karnataka government has again allowed name addition/correction of ration cards (BPL) for new members, name can be added/corrected on the government website. From October 5th to October 7th, correction has been allowed for 3 days from 10 AM to 7 PM in Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural. People can add and correct BPL card name at Bangalore One, Karnataka One, Village One center.
Ration Card Update in 3 Phase:
First Stage: From 5th to 7th Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural Districts
Second Phase: From August 8th to August 10th in total 15 districts including Belgavi, Bagalkote, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, Gadag, Hassan, Haveri, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapur.
3rd Phase: Opportunity in 14 districts including Kalaburagi, Bellary, Bidar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Kolar, Koppal, Raichur, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumkur, Yadgiri, Vijayanagara from 11th to 13th.
Last month, the time was fixed in one district as well. BPL card correction has been allowed for three days in all districts this month
Document Required for Ration Card Update:
Income certificate along with Aadhaar card must be provided for Add name in the card, Aadhaar number linked to mobile number and birth certificate are mandatory for add children under six years of age.
Original document of your ration card and child’s birth certificate along with Aadhaar card of child’s parents are required. While adding the wife’s name, a copy of the woman’s Aadhaar and husband’s household ration card must be provided.
These updates can made in Ration Card:
Change of Beneficiary Name
Ration center change
Cancellation, addition of card member name
Cardholder name change
Change of name of head of family.
