Thus, the state president of the State Government Employees’ Association CS Shadakshari said that tomorrow’s strike of the employees will be final after the meeting of the office bearers of the Government Employees’ Association. After this, no resolution could be reached in the association meeting. Therefore, there will be a strike of state-wide government employees today, and there will be a huge disruption in government services.

CM Basavaraja Bommai first held a meeting with various officials including Minister R Ashok, Dr K Sudhakar, Home Minister Araga Gyanendra, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma at his home office Krishna. At this time, the government employees discussed the measures that could be taken if they went on strike till late at night.

After this, the State President of the State Government Employees Association CS Shadakshari held an important meeting with the office bearers. In this meeting, OPS was also discussed including implementation of 7th Pay Commission. CM Basavaraja Bommai was requested to abandon the indefinite strike as called by the Karnataka government employee from tomorrow.

Government is committed to fulfil the demands of government employees. The CM promised to fulfil the demand after receiving the interim report. Through this, an attempt was made to persuade them to abandon the indefinite strike. Along with the 7th Pay Commission, the officials of the government employees’ union insisted on cancelling the NPS and re-implementation of the OPS before CM Bommai.

Then CM Bommai said that an emergency meeting was called only for the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission. Discuss that CM Bommai is said to have told the government employees in the meeting that there is no other matter. However, the first round of negotiations failed due to non-relenting by the Government Employees Union.

After this, the second round of meeting was held by CM Basavaraja Bommai with the office bearers of the Government Employees Association. After the inconclusive first meeting, the 2nd round of the meeting saw a lengthy discussion on the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission.

Speaking to the media after this meeting, CS Shadakshari, the State President of the State Government Employees Association, said that this is the first time a meeting has been held with CM Basavaraja Bommai. 8 times meeting discussed with finance department. He said that he told CM Bommai that he will discuss with our office bearers and give his decision.

A meeting will be held with our office bearers in a few moments. After that meeting, the decision of the Government Employees Association will be communicated to the Government. He said that the government has also given a positive response regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission and the cancellation of NPS and cancellation of OPS.

CM Basavaraja Bommai said that we are with your demand. He promised to fulfill our 2 demands. He said that the final decision about tomorrow’s strike will be discussed in the meeting of our association.

CM Bommai did not convince the employees in the officials’ meeting held from 11.30 am to 1 am at the Government Employees Union.
