Karnataka school college closed: The government employees have decided to hold a protest from today, condemning the state government’s policy of cancelling the new pension policy and not announcing the salary revision of the government employees in the budget. 5.11 lakh employees have gone on indefinite strike by absenting themselves from duty. School-college, waste disposal, revenue and health services are likely to be suspended. Village panchayat staff, urban local bodies, permanent civic workers of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike

Deputy registrar’s office staff will also join the strike. Due to this, officers and staff from Village Accountant to Additional Collector are absent from work and almost all services will be interrupted.

What services are different?

Emergency treatment, transport services available

Emergency treatment and inpatient care services will be available as usual in government hospitals. The transport corporations have informed that BMTC bus, KSR TC bus traffic will be as usual.

Garbage collection also varies

Gram panchayat staff, urban local bodies, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike

 Permanent civic workers have also supported the strike, so there will be disruption in garbage collection and water supply in the cities and villages of the state.

Schools and colleges are closed

Teachers, lecturers, professors are absent from work. So schools and colleges will be closed.

Outpatient service unavailable

Apart from the in-patient department and emergency units, the out-patient department will be completely closed in all government hospitals of the state.

Property registration also stopped, Tahsildar offices also closed

The services of Tehsildar, District Commissioner, District Panchayat are not available to the people. Most of the services of the revenue department, including the service of caste and income certificates, will be stopped.

Water and electricity problem

Since today government employees are protesting, there will be almost water problem in the city. Due to BESCOM officials joining hands with them, Electricity problem will also arise.
