New Delhi: Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost airline (Jazeera Airways), is the first to fly to Kuwait with an all-female deck and cabin crew. The flight flew from Kuwait to Riyadh to commemorate International Women’s Day. This in turn promotes diversity, gender equality and women’s empowerment. Jazeera Airways highlights this year’s International Women’s Day theme to Embrace Equity. Jazeera’s A320neo carrying 172 passengers was flown by a crew of eight, including the pilot and co-pilot. Jazeera Airways first flew from Kuwait in 2005. It now flies 19 flights to 59 destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa and Europe. Based on a workforce of 1,200 employees from 68 nationalities, the airline encourages diversity, inclusion and gender equality. The airline is also committed to International Air Transport Association (IATA) 25by2025, an initiative to change the gender balance in the airline industry.
