In view of the increasing threat of corona virus infection in the state, the Hotel Owners Association has instructed the hotel staff to wear masks. Corona fear increase in Karnataka: mask mandatory for hotel staff.

The concern of Corona has started again in the state including Bengaluru, and as a precautionary measure, the Hotel Owners Association has instructed the staff to wear masks compulsorily in the hotels. Auto and cab drivers in Bengaluru have decided to wear masks voluntarily.

Passengers are also requested to wear masks compulsorily. Street vendors have also supported the decision of Corona precaution. State Street Vendors Association President Rangaswamy has informed that all the street vendors have been instructed to carry out their business while wearing a mask.

Karnataka Health Minister said that due to the increase in Covid cases in China, Corona precautionary measures have been taken in the state. As well as the intensity of Covid has increased in other countries, therefore more monitoring needs to be done on those who come to Karnataka.

He said that it is mandatory to wear a mask and negative covid report; they are allowed to come to Karnataka. In the background of Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state, the number of foreign travellers entering the state capital Bengaluru is increasing day by day. A guideline has been released for foreign travellers in this regard.
