Udupi: Congress leader Mithun Rai has stated that it was Muslim kings who gave land to Sri Krishna Math in Udupi, and pro-Hindu organizations have expressed outrage. Controversial statement by Mithun Rai: Muslim King gave land to Krishna Mutt Udupi.

Mithun Rai, who gave a speech in Tulu during the ‘Nammura Maseedi Noda Banni’ program at Puttige in Mudabidre taluk of Udupi district, said that it was the Muslim kings who gave the land to Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi.

At present, pro-Hindu organizations have expressed outrage over Mithun Rai’s statement, and Mithun Rai has made a statement to appease the minorities in view of the approaching elections. Thousands of temples have been demolished and mosques built in the country. Leaders of pro-Hindu organizations are furious that how can they give space to Sri Krishna Math.
