BBMP Budget 2023: Rs 11,157 crore complete highlights of BBMP Budget

The BBMP Budget 2023-24 has caught everyone’s attention by presenting the budget 2023-24 right when the elections are very close. BBMP’s Special Commissioner of Finance Jayaram Raipur today presented the budget of Rs 11,157.83 crore. BBMP Budget 2023: Rs 11,157 crore complete highlights of BBMP Budget.

Infrastructure construction has been given more emphasis in this budget. Also, attention has been given to fill the administration’s coffers through measures such as property tax revision, B account transfer etc. It has been decided to give the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Invention Award every year with the intention of inculcating the spirit of qualitative transformation in the officers of the corporation, and it is worth Rs.2 lakh.

Also, it has been announced in the budget that the plots of B category will be converted into A category this year. A comprehensive plan of Rs 3,000 crore has been prepared with the help of the World Bank to avoid any major damage due to the flood situation and the plan is targeted to be implemented in 2025-25.

BBMP Budget 2023-24 Highlights:

– 210 crores in total for the construction of flyovers and under bridges

– 60 crore for Yalahanka flyover grade separator.

– Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Awarded Rs 2 Lakh Award

– 124 crore for the construction of Hoody Junction, ITPL, Big Bazaar Junction, Hope Farm Junction flyover.

– 137 crores for Minerva Junction Grade Separator

– 104 crore for construction of Suranjan Das Junction flyover on Old Madras Road.

– 80 crore Reserve for the development of slum areas

– Construction of 10 new city plazas in residential areas

– Construction of fountains, playgrounds, food stalls in plazas

– 1 crore per sector for clearing encroachments

– 10 crores Reserve to clear unauthorized buildings

– 1 Crore rupees as reserve for maintenance of slaughter house

– 25 crores for street vendors’ zones

– 210 crores for the construction of over bridges and under bridges.

– 30 lakh each for 243 wards for road drainage, pavement repair and maintenance.

– 20 crore for the maintenance of 42 over bridges and 28 under bridges already existing in the city

– Development of Kempambudikere-Bull Temple Rastada Environment, Sanki Lake-Kadu Malleshwar Temple Environment and Halasuru Lake + Someshwara Temple Environment as tourist corridors in Bangalore at a cost of 180 crores.

– Construction of 10 new city plazas in residential areas at a cost of 50 crores

– Construction of fountains, playgrounds, food stalls in plazas

– 22 lakhs by doing bio-mining in 4 closed waste storage centers at a cost of 209 crores.

– Solving metric tons of waste

– Hi-tech laboratory and metropolitan monitoring center under one health scheme for man-animal coordinated disease control at a cost of 5 crores

– 8 crores as 1 crore per zone to clear encroachment

– 10 crore for clearing unauthorized buildings

– 1 crore for maintenance of slaughterhouses

– 100 crores at the discretion of the administrators

– 50 crore at the discretion of the Chief Commissioner

– 250 crore as a reserve at the discretion of the Ministers in charge of Bangalore.

– 700 crore assistance for solid waste management in Bangalore
