Bank Employees will get weekly 2 days holiday, salary hike

The Indian Banking Association (IBA) is likely to take decision next week regarding five-day work week, salary hike and requirement of group medical insurance policies for retirees. Bank Employees will get weekly 2 days holiday, salary hike.

The first meeting between bank unions and banks’ association for the same will be held on July 28 i.e. Friday. Once approved, bank employees may get 2 days weekly off. The time to fulfil the long-awaited demand of bank employees for two days holiday per week (2 Weekly Holidays) will implement soon.

The Indian Banking Association (IBA- Indian Banking Association) is likely to take a decision on July 28 regarding five days’ work per week, 2 week off facility and some other issues. The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) had earlier (July 19) said that the IBA had earlier discussed the issue of bank working days. The Banks’ Forum clarified that the IBA has informed it that it is talking to the concerned parties considering the idea of reducing the working days of the bank to five.

If you get two week off, the working period will increase

The Finance Ministry has said that it has no objection to the demand of two weeks off by the bank employees. However, it is known that the IBA has given a suggestion to the government that if the bank employees are given two week offs per week, and then their working hours should be extended by 40 minutes.
