Mandya Road Accident Kills Three as Milk Tanker Hits Scooter

Three people from the same village died after a milk tanker hit their scooter near Koppa in Mandya, as they were returning to Bengaluru following Gauri Ganesh festival celebrations.

A family trip back to Bengaluru after the Gauri Ganesh festival ended in tragedy near Koppa village in Mandya district. Three people travelling on a scooter died after a milk tanker collided with their vehicle in the early hours of September 15.

The victims were identified as Kavya, Muttaraj and Keerthana, all residents of Koppa village. The accident has left the village in deep sorrow, with the deaths of three members of the same family coming as a shock to relatives and neighbours.

The family had travelled to their native place to celebrate the Gauri Ganesh festival. After the celebrations ended, they began their journey towards Bengaluru early in the morning. They were travelling near Koppa in Maddur taluk when the milk tanker reportedly approached at high speed and struck their scooter.

The impact was severe. The three riders were thrown onto the road and suffered critical injuries. They died at the accident site, according to the information available.

Police personnel from Koppa Police Station reached the location after receiving information about the crash. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination as part of the investigation. Police have registered a case and are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The tragedy has become even more painful for the family because another daughter was also travelling with them and survived the crash. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition is being monitored by doctors.

Preliminary information indicates that Muttaraj, his wife and their elder daughter were among those who died in the accident. The younger daughter suffered severe injuries but survived and is currently receiving medical care.

The victims had been returning from their village after spending the festival with family members. The journey towards Bengaluru was expected to be a routine trip, but the collision near Koppa changed the situation within moments.

News of the accident spread quickly in Koppa and surrounding areas. Relatives and residents were left shocked by the loss of three people from the same family.
