Karnataka Covid-19 cases rise: There has been a steady rise in Covid-19 cases in Karnataka. According to the data from the Health and Family Welfare Department, 40 new infections have been recorded in the state and 395 tests have been conducted till May 28, 2025. This has increased the total number of active patients in the state to 126, up from 100 on Tuesday. The test positivity rate (TPR) – which indicates the percentage of people who test positive for COVID-19 – rose to 10.12 per cent on Wednesday, up from 9.44 per cent the previous day.

The state has two hospitalized cases and 211 cases have been registered since January 1, 2025. The summer vacation in the state is expected to start again on Thursday (April 29). Most of the people thought that the Covid-19 had begun again and the vacation would be expanded.
However, Minister of Education Madhubangarappa has given great information on this. Now, Minister of Education Madhu Bangarappa has informed the parents’ concern. Schools are starting from May 29 in the state. Childrens should not be sent to school with cold and fever. They should be given leave. Covid-19 infection cases are on the rise.
Currently there is no guidelines for schools. But warning, precautionary action has been taken to take action. He said that if the Health Department provides guidelines, it will be implemented in schools. We also implement as per the Guidelines of the Department of Health and the Central Government.

The Department of Health has not given any guidelines so far. CM Siddaramaiah has already met with the authorities and said that some guidelines have been suggested. Covid cases are increasing day by day. The Department of Health is also raising awareness.
