The monsoon fury is expected to be particularly severe in the coastal and Malnad regions. The department has advised residents in these areas to remain cautious and urged authorities to make necessary precautionary arrangements.

Furthermore, wind speeds are expected to pick up in the Malnad regions of Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Kodagu districts, where residents have been advised to take precautions. Local district administrations have issued advisories urging commuters on the roads and residents living along riverbanks to remain highly vigilant.
