Customs Department to Auction Seized Goods in Bengaluru on December 30
Bengaluru : The Bengaluru Customs Department, operating under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), will conduct an auction of seized goods on December 30.
These items, which were illegally imported into the country, will be made available to the public at much lower prices than their market value. According to information provided by the Customs Department, the auction will feature a range of electronic goods including mobile phones, computers, iPads, and televisions.
How to Participate in the Auction
The goods, which were seized by the Customs Department due to a lack of proper documentation, will be auctioned off to the public after a period of storage. The original owners can retrieve their seized items by paying fines and penalties within a prescribed period. However, if the items are not claimed, they are sent to Customs warehouses and put up for public auction.
This auction will be conducted through the MSTC (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation) e-commerce portal, where registered individuals can place their bids.
