C.T. Ravi Slams Priyank Kharge Over Call to Ban RSS Activities in Government Spaces

Minister Priyank Kharge’s letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urging a ban on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in government premises has triggered a political storm, drawing sharp criticism from BJP leader C.T. Ravi.

Reacting strongly on social media, Ravi accused Kharge of harboring deep-seated animosity toward the RSS. “Some people have spent their lives spewing venom against the Sangh like snakes and left the world with ulcers in their stomachs. Let’s wait and see what fate awaits others,” he posted.

Ravi questioned the rationale behind Kharge’s demand, asking, “Is it a crime to instill patriotism in children? Is it unconstitutional to teach them to dedicate themselves to the nation?” He further criticized Kharge for allegedly ignoring anti-national activities in his own constituency of Kalaburagi, stating, “Why are you blind despite having eyes, and deaf despite having ears?”

He referenced past incidents, including slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” allegedly shouted near the Vidhan Soudha, and accused Kharge of remaining silent during such moments. “You call ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ treason, and that’s why you want to ban RSS branches,” Ravi said, adding that Kharge should abandon his “twisted dream” of banning the Sangh.

Ravi emphasized that the RSS has become a household name and claimed that even those who once opposed it have come to appreciate its values. “Some who hated the Sangh have ended up participating in its programs and singing its praises,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has forwarded Kharge’s letter to Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, instructing her to examine the matter and take appropriate action. No official order has been issued yet, but the debate continues to intensify across political circles.
