Educational Qualification
ITI Trades
Candidates must have:
Passed Class 10 (SSLC) from a recognised board with the prescribed minimum marks.
Possess a valid ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
Non-ITI Trades (Crane Operator / Forger & Heat Treater)
Passed Class 10 (SSLC) from a recognised board.
Rigger Trade
Passed Class 8 from a recognised institution.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 Age Limit:
As per the Apprentices Act, there is no upper age limit. However, candidates must meet the following minimum age requirement as on April 12, 2027:
Non-Hazardous Trades: Minimum 14 years (Born on or before April 12, 2013)
Hazardous Trades: Minimum 18 years (Born on or before April 12, 2009)
Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 Monthly Stipend:
Selected apprentices will receive a stipend in accordance with Government of India rules.
ITI Certificate Holders: Rs 9,600 per month
Crane Operator / Forger & Heat Treater: Rs 4,100 to Rs 9,020 per month
Rigger: Rs 3,400 to Rs 7,480 per month
Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 Selection Process:
The selection process consists of the following stages:
Preliminary Merit List
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Class 10 and ITI examination marks.
Written Examination
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written examination in a 1:20 ratio for each trade.
The examination will carry 100 marks and include:
Mathematics: 35 Marks
General Science: 35 Marks
General Knowledge: 30 Marks
Document Verification and Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo document verification followed by a medical fitness examination.

2. Click on Candidate Login/Register and complete the registration using your personal details.
3. Ensure that your name, date of birth, and father’s name exactly match the details mentioned in your Aadhaar card and Class 10 marks card.
4. After activating your profile, log in and complete your educational qualifications, address, and bank account details.
5. Click on Apprenticeship Opportunities from the top menu.
6. In the Search by Establishment Name field, enter “Naval Dockyard, Karwar”.
7. Select the eligible trade and click Apply.
8. After submitting the online application, download and print your Candidate Profile.
9. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, including:
