Ration card holders no longer need to worry about standing in long queues outside Fair Price Shops to complete their e-KYC process. The Food Department has introduced a new digital system that allows beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC from the comfort of their homes through the Anna Seve Mobile App.
The facility, which was initially available only in eight districts, has now been expanded to all districts across Karnataka, making the process easier and more convenient for millions of ration card beneficiaries.
e-KYC Service Extended to All Districts:
Earlier, the facility was introduced on a pilot basis in eight districts, including Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Udupi, Haveri, Uttara Kannada, Ballari, Bidar, and Koppal.
Now, the Food and Civil Supplies Department has extended the service across the entire state. The move is expected to help beneficiaries avoid long waiting periods at Fair Price Shops and overcome technical issues related to servers and biometric authentication.
