Schools college holiday declared in Udupi Tomorrow due to heavy rain

Schools college holiday: Heavy Rain in Udupi district since last three days. On July 5th, there will be heavy rain across Udupi district and the district administration has already announced a red alert. In this background, District Collector Kurmarao has issued an order declaring holiday for all schools and colleges in the district tomorrow (July 5).

Holiday has been announced for government, aided and private schools and undergraduate colleges of Udupi district. On July 5, there will be heavy rain in the coastal district of the state, and it is raining heavily in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts.

As a precautionary measure, the Udupi district administration has announced a holiday for schools. Brahmavara, Kapu, Byndur taluks of Udupi district received heavy rain today. Earlier, the district administration had given the responsibility of declaring holidays for schools based on rainfall to the respective tahsildars and field education officers.

But as the rain intensified during the night, the district collector got the information from all the taluku and announced a holiday for schools and pre-graduation colleges. In the wake of rain in Dakshina Kannada district as well, the district commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district has announced a holiday for all Anganwadis, schools, pre-graduation colleges and graduate colleges in the district on Wednesday.

Schools in Mangaluru City, Ullala, Moodbidre, Mulki and Bantwala taluks of Dakshina Kannada district were also given holiday on Tuesday. On Tuesday, heavy rain fell in all the taluks of the district except Sulya, Puttur, Bantwala, Kokkada, Moodbidire, Mulki and Mangalore. In this background, school holidays have been extended.
