Also, the central government has announced a half-day holiday for the central offices. According to the central government, the decision to leave has been taken after heavy demand from employees. According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, there will be a holiday till 2.30 pm in all central government offices, central institutions and industrial establishments across the country.

Holiday in these states on 22nd January:

Uttar Pradesh: All schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh have been given a holiday on January 22 in view of the Prana Pratistha ceremony of Lord Rama in Ayodhya. Besides, liquor shops will also be closed in entire Uttar Pradesh on that day.

Madhya Pradesh: All government offices in Madhya Pradesh will have a half-day holiday on January 22. Also, there will be a whole day holiday for schools and colleges. The entire country will be celebrating Rama’s Prana Pratishta ceremony on January 22. In this background, all offices and institutions of the state government can participate in duty till 2.30 pm, according to the government notification.

Chhattisgarh: Schools and colleges in Chhattisgarh will have a holiday on January 22. Also, there will be a half-day holiday in government offices. It has been informed that all government offices will be closed till 2:30 pm.

Haryana: The Haryana government has announced the closure of schools and colleges on January 22 in view of the inauguration of Ram Mandir.

Goa: The Goa government has declared a holiday on January 22 for all government offices and schools.

Rajasthan: The Rajasthan government has also declared a half-day holiday on January 22. As per the order issued by General Administration Department, all government offices will be closed till 2 pm on January 22. Meat shops are also closed on this day in the state.

Uttarakhand: The Uttarakhand government has announced a half-day holiday for government offices on January 22. Government offices remain closed till 2.30 pm. Schools and colleges will be closed. On the whole, many people are happy that a holiday has been declared in many places due to the installation of the idol of Rama in Ayodhya.
