Karnataka government has been issued order regarding the singing of Naadageethe and in the order it has been mentioned that singing Naadageethe is not mandatory in private schools.

What is in the state government circular?

According to the government order declaring National Poet Kuvempur’s poem ‘Jaya Bharat Janani Tanujate’ as a Nadageethe and an amendment to it on February 1, Nadageethe should be sung in all schools before the commencement of daily activities and at the commencement of official programs organized by government departments and semi-governmental organizations such as corporations, boards, authorities etc.

Instead of ‘singing’, all school it has been mentioned in the circular issued by the state government that Nadageethe should be sung in government schools and aided schools before the start of daily activities and at the beginning of organizing official programs of government departments and semi-government organizations like corporation, board, authority etc.’

In the above circular, instead of ‘singing of the nadageethe at the beginning of the program in all schools’, it has been changed to ‘in government schools, aided schools’. Also, it is noteworthy that the government circular does not mention that nadageethe should not be sung in private schools.
