Karnataka government revised Textbook for Class 6 to 10: Details

The Karnataka government has decided to revise the school text book for class 6 to 10 and the final report of the text book revision has been prepared. Karnataka government revised Textbook for Class 6 to 10: Details.

Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa informed about this in Vidhana Soudha, “We will revise the text book as soon as possible.” Some changes will be made in Kannada from class 6 to 10. He said some changes will be made in social science from 6th to 10th class.

Similarly, he said, “Savitri Phule wrote ‘Nee hoda Marudina’ will be included in the text book, and Nee Bareda Pathra, the letter written by Nehru’s daughter Indira will be included again.”

Continuing the speech, the minister said, “We removed speech of RSS founder Keshav Hedgewar chapter and we have removed Sarvakar, Chakraborty Sulibele chapter. He said that some changes have been made so that the children learn the right subject.

Announcing the decision at a press conference today, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Madhu Bangarappa, said all changes introduced by the BJP government in 2022 have been undone. 

“Whatever changes they have done last year, we have changed it and reintroduced whatever was there last to last year. In the interest of the children, we have done the least now, only in the Kannada language, from 6th to 10th standard. The Hedgewar chapter (has been) dropped. No major change,” he said.
