Aadhaar online update: UIDAI extend free update for 3 more month

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended free Aadhaar update of documents by 3 months from June 14 to September 14, 2023. Aadhaar online update free extends for 3 month. You can update and upload your Proof of Identity & Proof of Address documents online free of cost from 15 March September 14, 2023. Earlier the date was June 14, 2023.

According to the UIDAI website, “Please update Aadhaar for continues accuracy of demographic Information. To update it, upload your proof of identity and proof of address documents.” According to the UIDAI, to make Indians online, the free Aadhaar card update date extended has been extended for another three months.

However, offline updating from Aadhaar centre will cost 50 rupees. Notably, some time ago UIDAI announced that if one’s Aadhaar card is more than 10 years old and has not been updated even once, it should be updated with new biometric information soon. However, this is not mandatory.

Step to Update Aadhaar Card:

1. First of all you need to visit the website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in to update Aadhaar card.

2. Then login.

3. Then select the Aadhaar card information you want to update and upload the document below by entering the correct information.

4. Now click on submit button. After that you will get a request number.

You will be able to check the current status of Aadhaar update with this request number.
