Karnataka government gives good news to class 5, 8, 9, 11 students

Last year, the Karnataka Board had introduced annual exams for class 5 and 8 and students of the current academic year. Karnataka government has canceled the board exams for the students of classes 5, 8, 9 and 11 (1st PUC) for the academic year 2023-24.

The Karnataka government has canceled the board exams for the students of classes 5, 8, 9 and 11 (1st PUC) for the academic year 2023-24. Schools and colleges conduct annual examinations using the syllabus of the state board.

Last year, the Karnataka Board had introduced annual exams for class 5 and 8 and students of the current academic year have to appear for the exam. The Karnataka Board had earlier announced the three board exam rules for 10th, 12th students and revised the paper pattern.

Students have to appear for three board exams, their best marks will be considered for the mark sheet. The board has also done away with supplementary exams from this year. Meanwhile, students of class 10 and 12 appear only for the board exams. SSLC, 2nd PUC exam is likely to be held between March and April. Last year, the 2nd PUC exam was held from March 9 to 29, while the SSLC exam was held from March 31 to April 15.
