Candidates appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 or Class 12 board examination 2025 can visit the syllabus section at the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 10 and 12 syllabus for the academic year 2024-25, which will begin on April 1. Candidates appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 or Class 12 board examination 2025 can visit the syllabus section at the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

In an official announcement released by CBSE, “Schools are requested to share the Syllabus 2024-25 available on Boards website www.cbseacademic.nic.in with all students and teachers. CBSE Syllabus for Classes 10 and 11 2024-25 can be accessed at the link-Secondary and Senior Secondary School Syllabus.

“There will be no change in syllabus and textbooks for the academic year 2024-25 commencing April 1, 2024,” the March 22 circular said. CBSE has prescribed five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects for class 10 students. The curriculum for Class 12 students covers seven core learning areas which include Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Skilled Subjects, General Studies and Health and Physical Education.

Step-by-step guide to download CBSE Class 10th and Class 12th Syllabus:

Step 1: Candidates must visit the syllabus section on the official website of CSBE

Step 2:  Next, click on the ‘Secondary Syllabus (IX-X) Reading tab to download the syllabus for classes 9-10. But, for classes 11-12, click on ‘Senior Secondary Syllabus (XI-XII)’

Step 3: The subject-wise breakdown of the entire syllabus will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Download the syllabus of each subject based on your class.

Step 5: Take a printout of the downloaded files for future reference.

However, the notice says that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will soon release new syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 and 6. The board’s Director (Educational Experts) Joseph Emmanuel said, “As a result, the textbooks published by NCERT will be replaced by 2023. And schools have been instructed to follow this new syllabus and textbooks for Class 6.

NCERT had earlier planned to introduce new textbooks for all classes up to class 12 in the coming academic session. However, now only students of classes 3 and 6 will receive textbooks with the revised syllabus for the upcoming academic year which is under development.
