A woman’s decomposing body has been found partially buried in the mud behind a former BJP MLA’s house in Maharashtra’s Satara. Police said the stinking mutilated body was found near former BJP MLA Kantatai Nalawade’s closed bungalow in Wade village of Satara. They said the body was found during cleaning. The recovery of the body created panic in the area and a huge crowd gathered. Satara Police have started investigating the case and are trying to identify the body. In 2022, Maharashtra reported several such cases where decomposing bodies were recovered from houses. One such case which was reported in June sent shockwaves to the nation.

Nine members of a family of two brothers were found dead in Maharashtra’s Sangli district on Monday, police said. The bodies were found in two different houses of the brothers, located 1.5 km apart, in Mhaisal village in the western Maharashtra district, over 350 km from the state capital Mumbai.
