Sagar Rana Murder case: The first picture of Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar assaulting Sagar Rana

Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar and associates assaulting deceased wrestler Sagar Dhankar during the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl has surfaced, The first picture here.

A screengrab of a video has gone viral which shows Sushil holding a stick in his hands as he and his associates thrash 23-year-old Dhankar, who succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital. In the picture, Dhankar can be seen lying on the ground as Sushil and his aides beat him with thick sticks.

Dhankar’s post mortem report revealed that the 23-year-old died due to ‘cerebral damage’ after being hit on the head by a blunt object. Two others were also injured in the brawl that took place on May 04. Sushil was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on Sunday (May 23) from Delhi’s Mundka area after absconding for 19 days.

The wrestler is currently in 6-day police custody and is being interrogated by the Delhi Police Crime Cell which has taken over the case. Sushil was also taken to the Chhatrasal Stadium on Tuesday to recreate the crime scene.
