Haryana: Miscreants chopped off a man’s hand in Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra (Haryana) : A man’s hand was chopped off by unidentified miscreants in Haryana’s Kurukshetra on Monday. The accused later took away the hand, the police said. Officials said that the victim, identified as Jugnu has been admitted to the Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Narayan Hospital in critical condition. The incident occurred at Kurukshetra Haveli under Sadar Police Station, and an investigation into the incident is on.Officials said that they were going through CCTV footage to identify the accused.”Ten to twelve men with their faces covered entered the Kurukshetra Haveli, and attacked the victim Jugnu and chopped off his hand. The exact reason behind the incident is not clear,” said DSP Ramdutt Nain.

He said that the victim has been admitted to Loknayak Jayaprakash Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.”His statement will be recorded and a case will be registered on that basis. CCTV footage will also be scanned,” he added. Eyewitnesses said the victim was sitting outside Kurukshetra Haveli when 10-12 men attacked him with sharp weapons.They chopped off his hand and took it with them while leaving.

In Haryana’s Kurukshetra, the rampage of rowdies continues. The assailants cut off both hands of the man and took them away. The police are searching for the accused and are checking the CCTV footage.

While a person was sitting, at the same time 10/12 persons attacked him with sharp weapons and assaulted him in such a way that his two hands were severed. The villains were not satisfied with this. While leaving there, the miscreants took both the severed hands with them.

The man, who was in a pool of blood, was taken to LNJP Hospital, where after first aid, doctors referred the youth to PGI Chandigarh.Jugnu (30), a resident of Rahra village in Karnal, had come to Pipli on Monday. He was having lunch with his friend at a haveli on GT Road, about three kilometers from here. Then around 1 pm the accused came in Breeza car. As soon as the accused came, they attacked Jugnu and after beating him, both his hands were cut off.

The surrounding people are also shocked by the incident. A complaint has been registered against Sanju and Ankush. About a year and a half ago, there was an alleged shooting at a contractor in Jugnu Assand. He was recently released on bail in this case.

Currently, the police are checking the CCTV footage of the building on GT Road where the incident took place. It is said that Jugnu, along with his accomplices, fired about 15 bullets at liquor contractor Sanjay Rana alias (Sanju) near Jaisingpur village in Karnal’s Assand area about a year and a half ago.It is said that Jugnu was riding a bike in this incident. Acting on the complaint, the Karnal police arrested Jugnu and his accomplice.
