Bengaluru: The girl, originally from Kerala, had booked a Rapido ride in Bengaluru. She was gangraped by the rider and one of his friends in Neeladri Nagar near Electronics City. A shocking incident has come to the fore from India’s silicon valley city Bengaluru where a girl was gangraped by a Rapido rider and his friend. The girl, originally from Kerala, had booked a Rapido ride in Bengaluru. She was gangraped by the rider and one of his friends in Neeladri Nagar near Electronics City. This is the first time a case like this has come to the fore in this bike rental service.

Rapido is an Indian bike taxi aggregator and logistics service provider based out of Bengaluru. Earlier on November 16, a woman in Bengaluru had claimed that filed a police complaint against bike-taxi service aggregator Rapido and one of its drivers, saying he “misbehaved with her” during a ride over two weeks ago.

Although police have opened a case of sexual harassment under IPC Section 354A against the driver and Rapido, they believe that the complaint was false and filed with “malicious intent”. Noticing that the young woman was drunk, he took her to the room instead of letting her go home. A terrible incident took place in the capital city of Bengaluru yesterday (Nov. 28) night.

The Rapido bike rider and his friends gang-raped the young woman and committed a despicable act. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Electronic City Police Station. Last night, a young Muslim lady had booked a Rapido bike. At this time, the Rapido bike rider was supposed to pick up the young woman from the BTM layout and drop her at her house in Electronic City.

However, noticing that the young woman was drunk, he took her to the room instead of letting her go home. The young lady was taken to her room and raped by the Rapido bike rider and his friend. A case has been registered at the Electronic City Police Station regarding the incident and the police have taken the pedo bike rider Shahabuddin and his friend Akhtar into custody.
