Gas Cylinders Blast: At least four people were killed and 16 others suffered injuries on Saturday after gas cylinder exploded in Jodhpur’s Kirti Nagar area. In the incident, several vehicles were burnt after six gas cylinders exploded simultaneously in Jodhpur, reports said. Gas Cylinders Blast: 4 Killed and 16 Injured.

The 16 injured also suffered from severe burns. District Collector Himanshu Gupta visited the hospital where the injured were admitted. As per initial investigation into the matter, the blast occurred while cylinders were being refilled from one cylinder to another in an illegal manner.

Fire in bus 11 passenger dead and 38 injured

Fire in bus: At least eleven people were killed and 38 injured after a bus caught fire in Maharashtra Nashik early this morning, officials have said. Fire in bus 11 passenger dead and 38 injured. The bus caught fire on Aurangabad road in Nashik after hitting a trailer truck transporting diesel, they added.

“Most of those killed were passengers of the bus – a sleeper coach. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment,” said Amol Tambe, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Maharashtra Nashik. He said a case has been registered and investigation is on to ascertain the exact cause of fire.

Videos showed a huge ball of fire engulfing the bus as the fire officials tried to douse the flames. Eyewitnesses say the accident took place at around 5.15 am after which they called the police and ambulance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each for the families who have lost a member in the accident. The injured would be given Rs 50,000.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the family members of those who died in the accident. The Maharashtra government will bear the medical expenses of the wounded, said state minister Dada Bhuse.
