Car-truck collision: 9 dead, including 1 child and 1 injured

At least 9 people were killed in a car and truck collision on the Mumbai-Goa highway on Thursday morning. Deceased included 5 men, 3 women and 1 child. One passenger who was seriously injured is also a child, Raigad Police said. Car-truck collision: 9 dead, including 1 child and 1 injured.

The incident took place on the Mumbai-Goa highway in Repoli area in Raigad district. While the truck was travelling to Mumbai, the car was on its way to Guhagar in Ratnagiri district.

The visuals from the crash site show the intensity of the collison as the car was completely mangled after the fatal accident. Traffic movement on the highway has resumed and the incident is being investigated, police said.

Tragic Bus accident in Nashik Shirdi Highway; 10 died

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has ordered an inquiry to ascertain how the incident took place. At least 10 people travelling in a bus on Maharashtra’s Nashik-Shirdi highway died on Friday morning after the vehicle met with an accident. The bus was travelling from Mumbai to Shirdi. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. After speaking to officials, he also directed authorities to immediately shift the injured passengers to hospitals in Shirdi and Nashik and provide them with proper treatment.

Shinde has ordered an inquiry to ascertain how the incident took place.Nearly 10 people died and several others were injured after a bus carrying Sai Baba devotees collided with a truck near Pathare on Nashik-Shirdi Highway.
