According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, the murder is said to be related to an old love affair. The police have already arrested the ex-lover of the dead woman and efforts are on to arrest the other accused. The woman was married in February this year. Her ex-lover was angry that he fell in love with her and married someone else.

After breaking up that marriage, he tried to convince her to leave her husband and come with him. She did not agree to that. Thus, it is said that he tried to take revenge against her. The main accused has been arrested by the police. 8 other accused will be arrested soon. The investigation revealed that the accused had earlier relationship with the deceased woman. The accused cut the body of the deceased into pieces and put her clothes in the well along with the pieces. He then threw her severed head into the lake. Anurag Arya, Superintendent of Police of Azamgarh, said that even if her body was found, no one would know who it belonged to.

“The deceased woman was married to someone else in February this year when the accused went abroad. After he came back, it was known that she was married to someone else. He persuaded her to break the marriage. When she did not agree to that, he said let’s go to the temple on November 10 and took her out. Then he took her to the field and strangled her to death. After that, he separated her head and body, with the help of his friends, he cut her body into pieces and threw them in different places, police said.
