Kanpur: A 27-year-old man allegedly cut off his tongue in Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh, as he was extremely upset with frequent fights with his 24-year-old wife. As per reports, a few days ago, Mukesh, a resident of Gopalpur village, had a heated argument with his wife Nisha over a domestic issue.
After the argument, Nisha went to the house of her parents. Late on Saturday, Mukesh phoned Nisha and asked her to come back to her matrimonial house. When she refused, a heated altercation flared up between them on the call. In a fit of anger, Mukesh, during the quarrel, picked up a blade and cut his tongue with it. Hearing his cries, his family member came rushing to the spot and found that he had cut his tongue.
He was profusely bleeding. The immediately dashed him to the community health centre (CHC) for treatment. As his condition worsened, the CHC doctors referred him to a higher medical facility in Kanpur city.
